Comic-Con: 'Godzilla' Teaser Poster and Trailer Described

Jul 14, 2012

During Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's panel at Comic-Con 2012, upcoming GODZILLA director Gareth Edwards made an appearance and introduced a sneak peek trailer for the film. Also, a teaser poster has come online courtesy of Legendary Entertainment's official Facebook page, which you can see below.

Here is a description of the GODZILLA trailer (via Jen Harper of Zap2it):

"The trailer begins with a scene of a city completely destroyed with wreckage everywhere. Cars are crushed. Buildings are decimated. The dead body of a giant centipede-like creature is seen smoldering.

An ominous voiceover quotes physicist Robert Oppenheimer's remarks about the atomic bomb: "We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'"

And then we hear the roar, and Godzilla's face appears."
