LAST VEGAS
Kevin Kline is joining Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas in CBS Films' LAST VEGAS. Directed by Jon Turteltaub, with a screenplay from Dan Fogelman, the buddy comedy is "about old friends who decide to throw a Las Vegas bachelor party for the only one of them who has remained single." Production is scheduled to begin in the fall. [Deadline]

SAN ANDREAS 3D
New Line Cinema has hired Carlton Cuse (TV's "Lost") to pen its earthquake disaster movie SAN ANDREAS 3D. the film tells the story of a massive quake that strikes California and centers on one man who must make the treacherous journey across the state to rescue his estranged daughter. Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) is attached to direct. [Variety]

AMERICAN BULLSHIT
Yesterday we reported that Bradley Cooper was taking over the character role previously held by Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner would take the role Cooper occupied in director David O. Russell’s formerly titled AMERICAN BULLSHIT. Today, we've learned that Amy Adams will play Cooper's partner and mistress in the film, which is "based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist and his mistress who were forced to work with an intense and ambitious FBI agent to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters and politicians." AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY
Juliette Lewis is in negotiations to join Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts in The Weinstein Company's AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. Lewis would play the role of Karen, the self-deluding youngest daughter, in the dark family comedy. John Wells is directing the film based on Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer and Tony-winning play of the same name. Story "tells the tale of a severely dysfunctional Oklahoma clan and the family crisis that brings them back together." Filming is scheduled to start in September. [Deadline]

THE IMPOSSIBLE
Lionsgate has announced the Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor movie, THE IMPOSSIBLE, is slated to open December 21st in New York and Los Angeles. The Spanish-made film directed by J.A. Bayona is about a family that survived the 2004 tsunami. [Deadline]
