
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the English-language film will follow the erotic exploits of a woman (Gainsbourg) from her "youth" up to the age of 50. Skarsgard is attached to star as the woman's husband.
While it's not yet known how LaBeouf's character fits into the equation, the film will reportedly be split into two parts, with von Trier shooting a softer and more explicit version of each.
The trade, also reports that Nicole Kidman, who starred in von Trier's 2003 drama Dogville, suggested in a recent interview that she will play a small role in NYMPHOMANIAC.
The film is slated to begin production in September.
