Katee Sackhoff Joins Female 'Expendables' Project

Katee Sackhoff (Capt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace on TV's "Battlestar Galactica" reboot) is the second actress attached to star in an all-female as-of-yet-untitled action film inspired by Lionsgate's The Expendables franchise, reports Variety. She joins the previously announced Gina Carano.

Dutch Southern will provide the screenplay and Adi Shankar will produce for 1984 Private Defense Contractors, which plans to fully finance the project.

"If you spend five minutes with Katee it becomes blatantly obvious that she would pwn (sic) most male action stars," said Shankar.

Sackhoff can be seen soon in Sexy Evil Genius, The Haunting in Georgia, and opposite Vin Diesel in Universal's Riddick.
