Paramount Picks Up Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street'

Having distributed Hugo and Shutter Island, Paramount Pictures will handle another Martin Scorsese property. The studio has closed a deal for domestic distribution of Scorsese's THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, which is currently shooting in New York City, says Deadline.

The site adds that Paramount plans a fourth quarter 2013 release date for the film that chronicles financial shark Jordan Belfort’s (Leonardo DiCaprio) dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life that included drug and alcohol addiction.

Scripted by "Boardwalk Empire" creator Terry Winter, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET also stars Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Rob Reiner, Jean Dujardin, Jon Bernthal, Kyle Chandler, Kenneth Choi, Jon Favreau and Matthew McConaughey.
